Adirondack Balloon Festival

Shawn and Lesa headed up to Lake George, NY this past weekend to take in the Adirondack Balloon Festival and shoot photos for their Macworld Expo Digital Photograhy Workshop.

Sunday moning came early, if not bright but a 4am wake up call is a small price to pay to fly in a hot air balloon!

Friday evening and Saturday morning was our first around the balloons - and it was *amazing*!

Adirondack Balloon Festival - Day 2

Canon has loaned Lesa three great lenses and Shawn is having fun with his Nikon 300mm loaner but these pics are all with the Olympus Stylus 790 SW - and shot while riding down the highway!

YML Fantasy Football League

Mark Deniken was wondering if anyone would like to create a YML Fantasy Football League.

He has set it up here: http://football.nfl.com/splash/football/nfl/single

If you're asking, "What the hell is Fantasy Football?, wiki has a good explanation: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantasy_football_(American)

He'll need at least 12 people to make a league by draft time (8/31/ 7:45PM) or NFL.com will delete it. He can always recreate it if need be. They have six people so far.... they need six more!

It would just be a free "just for fun and bragging rights" league - though they have discussed the option of all throwing in $10-20, so they could have a nice prize for the winner... An iTunes gift card or even an iPod Nano.

If anyone is interested, please let Mark know (mdeniken at gmail.com) and he'll send you an invite!

New eMail Discussion List!

I've set up another Discussion List - this one for the iPhone users among us.

I'm thinking it would serve several purposes - people can send along information like glitches, likes, dislikes, etc and others can post regarding cool web sites or apps they've found.

If you subscribe, keep in mind a lot of your fellow subscribers will be using their iPhones for this list so edit ruthlessly. :)

FYI - information on our other Mailing Lists can be found here.

Postponing Wednesday's YML for 24 Hours

Wednesday is July 4th (Independence Day in the US) and it's tough finding guests who want to take the night off from their celebrations to come on the show. So we'll postpone it to Thursday evening but it will still begin at the usual time.

Hope you'll be able to join us live!
