http://yml.macosg.com/

Or you can listen in to the plain old audio feed at:
http://www.yourmaclifeshow.com/QT/stream.mov

You can also join one of the two Chat Rooms that run during the live show - on the Live Video Feed itself or on the dedicated IRC Server at irc.netmug.org in the #yourmaclife Channel.

Make sure you listen in this and every Wednesday evening from 5:30pm to 8pm PT or from 8:30pm to 11pm ET, for the most fun you'll have listening to your Mac.

The Graphic Reporter heads to Dallas

Week after next I'm headed to the DFW area to do some teaching at UTA, Fort Worth Camera (for Cowtown Mac User Group), and the Interactive Media Users Group (at the Dallas Art Institute). I'll be in town from Feb. 19-22 (bugging out early on the 23rd to keep the husband happy). I grew up in Fort Worth, TX so getting asked to teach in the area is a real treat.

If you are in the DFW and would like to meet up for a coffee or cocktail, let me know! Also, if you know of a company that has a decent size creative department who would like an iStockphoto sponsored Lunch & Learn (catered lunch, plus iStockphoto advanced search tips, followed by some select Photoshop productivity tricks), please send me an email. I've had a ball doing these presos across the globe and they are immensely fun. I come stocked with tons of iStockphoto goodies (t-shirts, lens cloths, free credits for everyone), the creative/web teams get fed plus they learn tons about finding the right image faster in iStock's vast database, the art directors and buyers learn how to save tons of money with iStockphoto's new corporate account feature, plus everyone learns how to create some very cool (and practical!) techniques in Photoshop.

My next trip will be to Austin, TX in early March. I'm doing an Elements workshop for CapMac on Saturday, March 8. Whee! I must have been a really, really good girl lately :)

John Moltz's Last Public Appearance

John was the publisher of one of our favorite web sites, Crazy Apple Rumors. He passed away shortly after this video was made.

The Missing Feature Videos

During Macworld Expo recently, O'Reilly caught up with a few of us who work on the Missing Manuals and let us rant and rave about "missing features" in various pieces of software, and yours truly got featured in one of them.

Expo Wrap Up Session!

Traditionally, Your Mac Life does the final session of Macworld Expo. We were there again this year, thanks to iStockphoto and Media Lab.

Joining YML on stage were Leo Laporte, Adam Engst and Jason Snell.

YML's Expo Wrap Up from the Couch Ain't happening :(

With Lesa only managing a squeak and Shawn only managing to croak and neither able to remain vertical for more than 5 mins, we've been forced to cancel tonight's show due to both hosts having caught the Expo Plague. :(

Sly's Pics from Macworld SF 2008!

It was a long, tiring but oh soooo fun week in San Francisco.

And as long and as tiring as it was, it is always so great to see folks that I miss a lot and only get a chance to see maybe once a year.

YML's Expo Wrap Up from the Couch!

This week on Your Mac Life, sponsored by Griffin Technology, The MacBU, RadTech, SmileOnMyMac and Circus Ponies - "YML's Expo Wrap Up from the Couch!"

Normally, there is a bunch of information here telling you about the live video feed, the time to tune in live and the location of the chat rooms you can join to participate in the live show. There's none of that this week, because the show isn't live.

Even after taking their own advice and cautions regarding the germ filled danger zone that is a Macworld Expo, both Shawn and Lesa have caught the Expo Plague and have been laid out flat on their backs all week.

But rather than completely cancel tonight's Your Mac Life, Shawn and Lesa will do what no show has ever done before - we will record the Expo Wrap Up from our very own couch while remaining as horizontal as possible! Now, that may not seem like a big deal to you but when you're this sick and it's all you can do to sit up straight, it's a major accomplishment - ah, the things we do for our audience.

Tonight's Expo Wrap Up will explore the different levels of Expo attendance, talk about the high and lowlights of this year's show, explain the move to the West Hall (and why we go back to North and South next year) and generally try and look back at the week that was.

If you have any questions or comments, please send them to Your Mac Life (onair [at] yourmaclifeshow [dot] com).

Tune in to find out why MacFormat UK named Your Mac Life one of the Top Ten Podcasts in the World!

Lost Highway found its way to Vancouver (Bon Jovi Came to Town) - A Review & Pics!

Bon Jovi came to Vancouver on the weekend and man, what a party they threw!

A fan since the Slippery When Wet days, an album recorded here in Vancouver (along with 2 others), this was my first time seeing them live and all I can say is it was so worth the wait. I kinda got the feeling it was gonna be a fun night when as we were driving by the No. 5 Orange, a well known strip joint in Vancouver that the guys visited frequently during their days in Vancouver and out of which the title Slippery When Wet was born, the marquis read (paraphrasing) "Bon Jovi Tonight – Welcome Back Guys". ;-)
