Pretty incredible product launch by LG for the LG Optimus (Sept 2010):

File it under the category of "don't just ask how, but ask WTF how?!?". :-)

I'd say LG used a 3D capable projector. If you look a bit closer as the image morphs into the robot you can see the windows of the building behind the image LG are projecting.
