Look before you splat

I feel pretty comfortable in thinking that this is going to be another "must have" device from Apple. That said, without knowing a price or what exactly it is, I'm not sure it makes sense for me. I have a great Macbook (3 months shy if it being a Macbook Pro) and while this unknown device with unknown specs might be able to replace it, I'm thinking it won't have the power and storage that I need (I use my Macbook to show video via Keynote, and anything less powerful than what I have would not have the power needed to play these HD videos without stuttering).

I suspect it might be something my spouse would be able to use instead of the aging iBook, since Mail, Safari & iTunes are the main apps he needs.

So while I expect to be wow'd, and I'm sure that I will want it, I am not sure, at this point, whether or not it will make sense *for me*.

Yeah, I tend to "look before I leap" ("Excuse me... there's no water in the pool!")
