Do we really care if there are 3 New iPhone Commercials?

From Macenstein
It is now over 4 months since the iPhone’s launch, and the fact that Apple has released 3 new iPhone commercials has somehow made it to the front of almost every Mac news site of note. Now, I do understand that these 3 new commercials are arguably the worst 3 Apple has ever made...

(Shawn's Comment: Is it just me or is *everyone* missing the fact that these are *AT&T* ads - not Apple ads)

Look and feel

I assumed they were apple ad's they look and feel like apple ad's I watched them on the apple website and they end with an apple logo. If they are ATT ad's then they are very poorly branded.

"I assumed"

That's what you get for assuming. :)

"they look and feel like apple ad's"

How so? They are passingly reminiscent of Apple's Switch ads but Apple has moved away from that style ad *years* ago.

"I watched them on the apple website"

Lots of stuff on Apple's web site *isn't* Apple's. :)

"and they end with an apple logo. If they are ATT ad's then they are very poorly branded."

Watch the ads again - right before the Apple logo is the AT&T logo and the term "Only on the new AT&T".

They end with the apple logo.

Why would Apple put ATT ad's on their website? To the best of my knowledge there are no other third party ad's on the Apple website (with the exception of game and movie trailers).
ATT has done zero advertising for the iPhone they have left it all up to Apple.
You acknowledge they look and feel like a previous Apple Ad campaign.
The last image is of an Apple logo that seems to say they are Apple ad's to me, and Apple gives a shout out to its partner just before the final image.

"Why would Apple put ATT ad's on their website?"

To promote the iPhone.

"To the best of my knowledge there are no other third party ad's on the Apple website (with the exception of game and movie trailers)."

No other third party is involved in selling Apple's proucts in this way.

"ATT has done zero advertising for the iPhone they have left it all up to Apple."

Not true at all. They have done several full page ads in the New York Times, for example, for the past couple of months.

"You acknowledge they look and feel like a previous Apple Ad campaign."

LOL No, I said they are "passingly reminiscent".

"The last image is of an Apple logo that seems to say they are Apple ad's to me, and Apple gives a shout out to its partner just before the final image."

Possibly but *only* AT&T uses the slogan seen on the ads - "Only on the new AT&T".

I've got a call into Apple's Media HelpLine to see if they can solve the "puzzle".
