iPhone Update 1.1.1
Just completed the update install. (I'm using iTunes 7.4.2) I just got my iPhone last Friday, 9/21, so this is the first update I've done. The update did cause my phone to do a Restore and Sync back to the last Sync. [NOTE: Do a Sync before starting the update.] Once the process was completed, my iPhone was back to most of the prior Settings. I did have to re-input my Mail Passwords. I also had to re-pair my BT headset. Other than those admin tasks, the iPhone has worked smoothly. [2d Note: I don't have any non-Apple software installed on my iPhone and this is a non-hacked iPhone.]
On the whole, this update was easily completed albeit one must pay attention to the prompts, provided by iTunes.
I won't elaborate the changes provided by the update, but other than adding the iTunes Wi-Fi (a colleague with an iPhone has now completed a Wi-Fi purchase - went very smoothly & nicely synced the new music to his iTunes), the changes show how the iPhone updates will progressively move the capabilities forward.
