new ipod classic with USB 1.1?

Aloha y'all,
I have laid to rest my current ipod and need a new one. However my imac is a G4 1gigahertz and it doesn't have USB 2.0, just firewire. So I would like to know from the fellow enlighted mac crowd if a new ipod classic (120 gig) will work with USB 1.1. I can deal with the slow sync time i just need to know if it will sync with the old USB stuff. The ipod is en-route from Amazon and if I need to get anything special (no a new imac is not an option unless Shawn is giving one away.) I would have it ready by the time it gets here. Any help you guys and gals could give would be greatly appreciated. If it doesn't work then I just send the ipod back and try to hit the powerball. Thanks guys.
