Macworld 2009: YML Returns to Apple Company Store in Cupertino!
After a one year hiatus, Your Mac Life is returning to Cupertino. Well, ok…we’re planning on returning to Cupertino with our listeners to shop til we drop in the Company Store at Apple Headquarters.
As you may know, Apple logo wear is at times harder to get then a top designer label, but we’re going to make it possible for a few listeners to do just that. Here’s the scoop:
Date: Monday, January 5, 2009
Schedule:
10:00 – 10:15 AM: Depart: Meet outside Pickwick Hotel (85 5th Street – 5th & Mission)
11:30 AM (ish): Arrive Apple Headquarters, Cupertino CA
11:30 AM – 12:15 PM: Shop at the Apple Company Store
12:30 – 2:00 PM: Lunch at BJ’s Pub (Next to Apple HQ)
(Buffet approximately $20/person – includes pizza/pasta/salads. Any *adult* beverages are extra.)
2:15 – 2:30 PM: Depart Cupertino
4:00 – 4:30 PM: Arrive Pickwick Hotel
It’s a whirlwind trip but it’s fun; you’ll even have a chance to win a few prizes on the bus including tickets to the YML “Rocks Expo” Party!!
Cost: $20-$30/person approximately (depending on numbers) / Lunch: $20-$25/person
Deadline to Register: December 15, 2008.
We will need at least 20-25 people to make this trip happen. If you’re interested, please email Sly at slyatyourmaclifeshow.com with the number of people in your party. Spots on the bus will be on a first come first served basis. Money for transportation costs and lunch will be collected during the trip down to Cupertino.

My wife, Mary, and I would like to join the bus crew for the Apple E Store trip. We won't be hard to round up since we are staying at the Pickwick (courtesy of a link on YMLS.com). As an addition qualification, both of us worked for a Canadian software firm in the 90's where we became fluent in your language:-) She was the receptionist and I one of the geeks.

A few spots still left
To those of you who have indicated an interest in joining us on the bus trip to Cupertino to shop at the Apple Company Store (mostly for logo wear) and then for lunch at BJ's Pub nearby, formal confirmation will be emailed to you tomorrow, December 16th.
To those who may still be deciding, there are a few spots left on the bus (we went with a slightly bigger bus) if you are interested. Cost for transportation will be $30/person.
