iTunes Store Waltz

Though you might get a kick out of this. It shows that sometimes even Apple doesn't get it right.

I purchase from the iTunes store a gift certificate for my wife just for the heck of it and it was set to be delivered via email. 24 hours later and she still had not recieved the purchased gift certificate. I wrote Apple to see what the problem was and after many email back and forth they never did solve the problem. Instead I was told to go to my account and "resend" the certificate. I did and twelve hours later, still no gift certificate. Another couple of emails sent to me with the boilerplate:

Here are instructions for resending iTunes Gift Certificates that were purchased from the iTunes Store or the Apple Store online, as well as instructions for sending iTunes Gift Certificate codes via email. I hope these instructions help you get the iTunes Gift Certificate to your recipient. (followed by the instruction)

Of course I had gone through this song and dance before but I gave it a shot and sent to a new email...the one I used to contact Apple which 12 hours later..you guessed it...still no certificate.

I resent to 4 different email address during a 2 day period and no certificate was forthcoming. And finally I received the final straw from Apple: It stated that it was refunding my money and... .Should you need an iTunes gift quickly, you can purchase an iTunes Gift Certificate through your iTunes Store account and either print it yourself or have it delivered to the recipient via email. You'll find "Give an iTunes Gift" among the Quick Links in the upper-right corner of the iTunes Store home page.

I had to laugh. I suspect that this was generated boilplate and not once did a competent person figure out what the problem was. In fact when I go to my account and try to link to "Report a Problem" nothing happens. Do you think Apple is vexed with me?
