A good macro lens

Hi,

I have been shooting for a while now and have found myself in a position I never thought I would be in. I want to macro shoot. I have always concentrated on zoom lenses to take my cricket and wildlife photos, but recently I have found getting close up to life can be just as much fun.

Can anyone recommend a good macro lens at a decent price? I have a Canon 400d or Rebel XTi for the US listen :-)

Hi, As it turns out my Wife

Lost the lens cap in less than 14 hours, but apart from that had a great shoot.
