"This is remarkable designed external battery for iPhone & iPod (Works with new models and most old models). Its specially made for travelers who may need additional power for a long trip. Whenever you run out of the power, simply press the power button on the station base, it will start using the external battery power up to 24 hours. This can definitely extend the time for watching a movie without charging the phone on the wall, Move Freely!"

"Perfect for photographers, the SlingShot 200 AW uses a unique sling design to go from "carry mode" to "ready mode" in just seconds. Carried comfortably on the back, it easily rotates to the front so you can get to your camera quickly. The SlingShot 200 AW holds an SLR with mid-range zoom lens attached 3-4 extra lenses, cables and accessories and has a full access lid to make loading it a snap. This feature-rich bag also includes a built-in memory card pouch, micro fiber LCD cloth and two generous organizer pockets. It is certain to surprise even the most demanding photojournalists." The LowePro site also has other sizes available.

From punking U.N. security to employing what Guillermo Del Toro called a "perpetual-motion thriller machine", Alfred Hitchcock's 1959 movie North By Northwest is an underrated classic. Recently reissued in special 50th-anniversary DVD and Blu-ray packages, the movie is a geek-friendly stocking-stuffer!

The link goes to one I've purchased from HandheldItems.com but almost any one will do. I use mine as a "Late in the Day" boost for my iPhone.

TV on your Mac
With the ultra-high resolution of the newer 24" and 27" iMacs, I wanted a tv tuner so my Mac can double as a second TV when I have guests at Casa Hiker. After two years of heavy use I can recommend elgato's eyetv 250plus, great tuner and DVR functions, in both standard and high def (1080i) and they include Roxio Toast Basic as part of the software package. They do have an eyetv hybrid stick but it taxes the processor to encode the signal as opposed to the 250plus that handles the processing chores onboard. Cheers!
