AppleScript "From the Top" New AppleScript Book for Beginners

Have you ever wanted to know how to quickly and easily automate tasks in Mac OS X? AppleScript has been there for a while and is just waiting for you to take advantage of it’s power. Learn the absolute basics of AppleScript, how to formulate scripts and make your code work for you.

Topics include: Tell Blocks, If and Try Statements, Repeat loops, path structure, how strings work, do shell script, scheduling using iCal and Cron, System Events, how to handle errors, the ins and outs of dialogs and alerts, setting up folder actions, creating droplets, and an introduction to AppleScript Studio.

I wrote this book to help those who want to get the absolute basics of AppleScript. More advanced techniques will be coming later. Also a book dedicated to AppleScript Studio and Xcode will be coming soon.

I thought all the YML listeners who are interested in AppleScript would like the tutorial.
