Silent Auction & Fundraising Benefit - Chicago Area
From listener Natalie Pate:
One of my paintings will be auctioned off December 2nd as part of a benefit to raise money for a friend who was hit by an ice cream truck. (It was a semi owned by an ice cream company, not the slow moving deals with the clown on top, the clown was behind the wheel.) :-)
We are a bunch of artists, so, it will be a great way for anyone in or near Chicago to blow off some holiday steam and help an artist recover. The Skylark bar on Halsted street is a great venue.
Cynthia Plastercaster will perform, Soccer blogger for FoxSports.com Jamie Trecker will MC, and a signed copy of his new book about soccer has been donated to the silent auction. Mac user, lover, and blogger Ffej from ffej.org will donate artwork, along with tons of other people no one has ever heard of!
All the information can be found here.
Not sure if you announce this kind of thing, even saying a noun, a verb and the site url would be greatly appreciated. :)
Thank you,
Natalie Pate (lixoarte)
PS full disclosure, Plastercaster is an ex groupie known for making plaster casts of musicians, (Mick Jagger, etc) umm, stuff.
