KIndle Thoughts

Some advantages I see right off the top:

a) You don't have to hold it open like you do a book. (which are always flopping closed at the wrong time)

b) It's the same size whether you're reading "Goodnight Moon" or "Gone With the Wind"

c) No trees are killed in the process… which leads to the thought:

d) … it might actually encourage publishers to try out books/authors they wouldn't want to risk printing on. They can try the book in Kindle Format and if the demand exists, THEN they can commit to printing it.

e) It isn't as annoying or antisocial as ipods, cell phones etc. You're not going to annoy anybody reading a book. (well, hardly anybody)

and

f) It's 1000 Books in my pocket! (to steal a line from somebody)

I don't have to choose what book i take on a trip or to the doctor's office or just to wait outside the mall; I have them all. And if i'm not in the mood for Ulysses, or Mathematics for Quantum Mechanics: An Introductory Survey of Operators, Eigenvalues and Linear Vector Spaces, I can kick back with The Far Side Gallery.

regards as ever,
