Hello From New Jersey

Hi. I am a retired high school art teacher who is a recent convert to the Mac from the PC. I have also recently discovered the world of podcasting. I can't believe it took me this long to make the switch. I have to admit that the announcement that XP was going to be classified "end of life" had a lot to do with it. I had no intention of using Vista.

Anyway, I am glad to have a Mac finally, and glad to be learning as much as possible about it.

I love my Mac.

Terri

Welcome! Looks like you'll

Welcome! Looks like you'll be our "Go"-to girl....Wow...that was *such* a lame joke... :)

I tried to learn Go back in college but I wasn't smart enough for it. :)

Welcome, Terri!

Wow - a teacher AND in the arts - and just now switching to the Mac?! (j/k) As another infamous "switcher", welcome to Mac's and especially to YML! This is a great community - and be sure to tune in to the show on Wednesday nights for interesting insights about everything Mac. I switched from PC about 3 years or so ago myself, and will never go back! I'm almost now what they call a "Mac-mac"! :) Cheers - Matt

Hello from Toledo

My name is Lisa. I have been a Mac user for over 10 wonderful years and look forward to many more. I am slowly converting all my friends and family to the good side, but until they wise up I look forward to talking with all of you.

I hear you

Lisa-welcome! I switched over to the Mac platform 3 years or so ago, and will never look back. Most of my family has disowned me (ok, not really) for switching, and I don't think they'll ever understand or switch over themselves! So I also use this community as a sounding board and a place to talk about all things Mac-related. Welcome to the community! - Matt
