Experience with Extended Zoom Point & Shoots?
As I prepare to make my pilgrimage to NY to see George, Shawn & Lesa and Loren in late July, oh ok and Bruce Springsteen at Giants Stadium (wheeeee!), I've been thinking about getting an extended zoom point and shoot camera to try and get the very best photos I can at the concert. (I have a Casio EXILIM 1050 10MP p&s but with just 3x zoom and I wanna get at least a 10x zoom (7-8MP or higher). And of course don't want to break the bank.
Does anyone have real world experience with any of the following cameras:
Panasonic DMC-FZ18 (the one I'm leaning towards as I have seen some Bon Jovi concert shots with this cam, which were pretty amazing)
Sony Cybershot DMC-H3 or H10 (only thing I don't like about Sony is their proprietary memory cards, though I'm sure I've seen SANDISK Pro Duo cards so maybe I'm over reaching on that one)
Canon Powershot S5 or SX100 (don't know why but I hate using Double AA batteries in cameras, but I guess good thing about that is that you can always pick some up if you need to)
Olympus SP550UZ (since I already have the E-510 SLR, not sure I wanna put all my eggs in an Olympus basket).
Would love to hear from ya if you have experience with any of the above. Been reading reviews etc., but it would be great to hear from folks I know and trust too.
Thanks!
~Sly
